Something needs to be said to the Panzerlehr defense of the Boullion Army base on June 13th. It was quite possible the most epic fight ever. Ill just post what I wrote in my AAR to keep it simple.

All of Panzer Lehr combined in that fight while I was there was well over 90 Kills in a 20 mintue period all using 232 while taking all kinds of grenade, ATR and mortar fire as well as killing a half dozen vickers. It was a truely desperate situation that we managed to atrrit the allied advance back. I would of had double to kills had I only had more ammunition. And let me just say that I set a new record for my kill streak. So if I am gettign that many kills then YOU KNOW it was intense.

Quote:
The allied forces had pushed up back to the Army Base and our battered brigade was nearly out of armor supply. Panzer Lehr decided to hop in the last handful of 232 and push the allied advance out.

Allied infantry had overrun the vehicle spawn so we spawned in and immedatly speed to the other side of the AB and begun to pour fire onto the vehicle spawn. It was here that I killed two infantry and then peaked north and thats when I saw it.

It was a mass horde of infantry heading trhough some trees, berms and bushes about 350 meters away. It was like an allied horde of death heading this way. I quickly traversed the turret and begun to open up with coax and HE 20mm fire. My fire was deadly as was my squadmates. We put alot of fire on that hill and the devestation was emmense. I recoreded over 19 enemy kills, some of my squadmates recorded as high as 27-28. It was a blood bath and it was all done in less than 10 minutes. The allies attempted to bring several vickers in to destroy us to no avail. We quickly switched to AP fire and devestated their armor push as well with a mere 3-4 232s.

Grenades, moratars and ATR pop shots could be heard constantly as the srapnel and heavy roudns would bounce off of my armor. Eventually I ran out of all ammo except a handful of AP rounds which I started using to aim at infantry at long range. Finnaly some lucky ATR picked me off at quite a distance. He however was too late, we repulsed the allied attack inflicting catostraphic losses against the allied push.

We had a great little mini-squad night tonight, for a Monday. Real great turn out. I saw Ironlehr, McGib, Hyper05, Gaspipe, Cobray, Executor, Ebilman, Rabidx, Fire1067, and myself. There were others that I missed, I'm sure.

We got in on the assault on Gedinne to try and take pressure off of Bievre, but that town fell anyway to a heavy assault.

While we were there we did lots of damage to the Allied air inventory both with LG-2 personnel and Bofors on the ground. "Drag and bag" was the order of the day and the Allies fell for it almost every time.

After the attack on Gedinne quieted down, we moved to the fresh attack on Virton. After a few attempts we finally gained control of the high ground east of town with 88s and Bofors and rained destruction on the town and to the EA over head. We had the town pretty well contested when I logged off.

The battle was still raging. Hope to see Virton Axis when I wake up in the morning.
