Thanx Gas. I'm already downloaded, reversioned, and ready to go. I'll be on TS shortly to wait for the servers to go live.

Well, first impressions are that all of you will like the patch. A bunch of us gathered up in Bergheim for its defense and later attack on Kerpen.

For one thing, the ground is much more open and long range engagements are once again the rule of the day.

The golf ball forests no longer hide you as well as they used to, although the regular large forests are difficult to move in as they have almost double the number of trees in them.

Only one real glitch hit me and others last night. The concussion bug. I didn't have it for awhile, but when I spawned an 88 at a back town, it hit me as I approached the battle area and continued almost non-stop. It got so bad that I had to despawn the 88.

McGib had the same thing though he was infantry. Funny thing was that my tow account, Dragon69 was sitting right next to my 88 and didn't have the concussion bug.

The Rats will figure this one out, although I was extremely annoyed by it.

Overall, I think you will like the patch. Lots of things to get used to, like the new capture system (similar, but new, no humping a radio table). Inability to make fast changes in direction while sprinting. I hate that and I think it will go away eventually. It might be realistic but it is so annoying that more players will hate it and it will be pulled.

Our first squad night for the new patch will be this coming Wednesday. I'll put out a notification via the forum and e-mail.

See you on the battlefield.

Also having trouble updating... honestly I love the game my, but my impression of CRS ability to launch software can't get a heck of alot lower... the should seriously consider partnering with Steam or someone else that knows what they're doing...

I'm going to have to grab the full install, no patch for Broder, out of town again this weekend sooo I'll be on eventualy.

If you donwload directly off of the site it takes like 8-15 mintues. I haev a fast connection but downloading off of the site directly I was done in like 6 mintues. I tried to dowload from the patcher but it was taking forever so i tried the other way and found it to be 100 times faster. I think they even tell you to do that on the main site somewhere.

If its any consolation I did get it done in the end but it took over 6 hours! it took several hours just to get the patch to start as it kept on failing , so I understand your frustration Broder.

Rabid, can you download just a patch from their site? Sparing me the full install will earn you serious bonus points.

The best way to up date is to go to the main web page and use the down load link there. the play gate tool is gay.

The lates patch is very small but fixes some important issues.

http://www.battlegroundeurope.com/in...nload-the-game

I do not know why they make things so hard to find.

I also have seen that players that live on the far side of the earth are getting very slow download times.

We can use TS to do file transfers. If CRS keeps failing I think we should use TS.

S!
